First District Youth Council Meeting for the new year:
Sunday, September 14th 2008, 2:30-3:30 at Salem UMC in the youth room upstairs in the new building.
Come one, come all to the first Fayetteville District Youth Council Meeting! On Sunday, September 14th we will meet at Salem UMC in Eastover from 230 to 330 to finish plans for Rally Day and the rest of the fall!

District Lock IN/Break OUT 2009
February 7, 2009…7 pm until 7am
Begin at Methodist University for games, worship, snacks, and pizza…head to bowl at North View Lanes…crash at a church for napping, Guitar Hero, or a movie-Again, we need a speaker…

Appalachian Trail Hike - July 12-19
The registration deadline for the Appalachian Trail Hike is June 6. The Trail Hike is for high school students (completing grades 9, 10, 11 or 12) and will be take place July 12-19.
ACS (Annual Conference Session for Youth)
July 21-26 at Methodist University in Fayetteville
The registration deadline for ACS (Annual Conference Session for Youth) is July 1. ACS is for high school students and takes place July 21-26 at Methodist University in Fayetteville.
Pilgrimage
November 7-9 at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville
Youth Group Involvement at Pilgrimage
Youth groups may contribute to leadership at Pilgrimage in a variety of ways. The deadline to sign up for any of these opportunities is August 31.
Individual youth may apply to be considered for the house band (auditions will be required and an audition date scheduled for early fall). To obtain the house band application, please request it via email to senicholson@nccumc.org.
Youth groups may offer an act of worship during the sessions. Details about what act of worship would be offered should be emailed to senicholson@nccumc.org. (Please note our policy is to give youth groups not having been on stage before first opportunity.)
Youth groups may create a video of their group interpreting the Pilgrimage theme “Pass it On” and submit that to Youth Ministry, PO Box 10955, Raleigh, NC 27605.
Youth groups may create/contribute to a portion of the stage visuals – any youth groups desiring to be part of this project should contact Sue Ellen Nicholson at senicholson@nccumc.org.
